The National Black MBA
Association, Incorporated - Columbus Chapter was founded May 15,
1993 with a mission to:
-
Develop and maintain a
minority mentorship program aimed at the establishment of
"preceptor-preceptee" relationships with corporate leaders.
-
Actively participate on
a volunteer basis in Columbus and its surrounding suburbs’ community
activities directly and indirectly related to minority/cultural
issues.
-
Create a computer-based
bulletin board providing access to employment and educational
opportunities within the Midwest and potentially throughout the
United States.
-
Provide enrichment and
tangible benefits to not only members of the Columbus chapter, but
the National Organization.
-
Assist and guide
minority student organizations whose members show interest in
entering Corporate America.
-
Sponsor workshops and
special events at local universities, corporations and other forums
aimed at increasing visibility of the membership within the Columbus
community, as well as the public and private business sectors.

Although we are still a relatively young chapter, we are proud that
our chapter has awarded over $12,000.00 in local scholarships since
it was founded in 1993.
Commitment in Columbus continues to be strong. In fact, 25% of our
members have made the Lifetime financial commitment to the NBMBAA.
The Columbus Chapter consists of an Executive Board and several
