Company Description

LEARN4LIFE is a child-centered collaborative of educators, families, child- and family-service providers, the faith community, charitable foundations, and business, civic and elected leaders united by a common vision and a common goal.

Our Vision:
Columbus will have the collective determination to ensure that every child receives the support he or she needs at home, in school and from the community to succeed in education, from birth through high school and beyond – and to acquire the knowledge and skills needed for good jobs and a productive life.

Our Goal:
• Create a culture of achievement that has broad community support and gives every child the opportunity to succeed.
• Empower and inspire all students to recognize and follow their paths to success.
• Actively address and remove non-academic barriers to learning.
• Support efforts to take promising practices to scale and eliminate unnecessary duplication of effort.

Learn4Life will be established as a 501c3 organization and is aligned with the Columbus 2020 initiative, which seeks to create new jobs and raise the city’s per capital income. It is responding to the challenge posed by that initiative – that most of Columbus 2020’s targeted jobs will demand higher levels of educational achievement, and that by 2018 nearly 60 percent of Ohio jobs will require some postsecondary education.
